About Dr. Mckinnell Dr. James McKinnell is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and earned his medical degree from Columbia University Medical School. He conducted his internship and residency training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, after which he completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
His clinical research focuses on epidemiology and management of chronic or resistant infections with special interest in global infectious disease issues. He also serves as medical director for the Torrance Memorial Hospice team.
Having more than 15 years of diverse experience as an infectious disease and internal medicine specialist, Dr. McKinnell cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in the Milefchik-Rand Medical Group and is part of the Torrance Memorial Physician Network.
