4 Ways to Get The Most From Your Doctor’s Appointment

  1. Create a list of questions to take with you. Write down your top medical concerns, problems or issues. Select only two or three to discuss with your doctor during each appointment.
  2. Make a list of your medications to take with you. Write down prescription drugs, any over-the-counter medicines and herbal medicines you’re taking, including the dosages and frequency.
  3. Bring copies of recent test results. Including your latest x-rays, MRI reports or any other test results your doctor may not have.
  4. Document your symptoms. Be prepared to describe any symptoms you’re experiencing in specific detail. Keeping a home journal can help. Then, bring it with you for quick reference.
